Biosand Filter Project
Cotonou, Benin

In March 2014, Well Water Global constructed several biosand filters that were delivered to the villages surrounding Cotonou, in Benin, West Africa.

Our focus was to construct Biosand Filters for villages in dire need of clean water. One of Well Water's primary objectives is sustainability, so this project focused on training the ICA, Benin staff to build and maintain the biosand filters, and to instruct the filter recipients in maintenance and proper use.

This project is in cooperation with Lambassa ICA, Benin, a local NGO.
